“I'm gonna go into the freeze response because I see that as a way of recovering myself—my presence.”
– Kathie
"It’s really beautiful to witness. It’s like seeing how this work applies not just on an individual level, but across systems. It works in family systems, in school systems—it’s all connected. That’s been so cool to notice—as I learn and embody this myself, I’m watching it ripple out into the spaces around me.”
– Nat
“I just wanted to thank you so much for finally giving me words and understanding about what's been happening with me. And I think my self compassion has gone through the roof because I know that there's nothing wrong with me. There's nothing wrong with me. This is how my body would be expected to react given what I've been through.”
– Deb Moses
“I'm learning so much about myself, and I so appreciate that you laid this out in the perfect order for me. So, thank you so much”
– Jill P.
"I'm just so grateful because I feel like my whole life I've just kept pushing it down and it's been a lot. So this has been so freeing."
–Tamara
"I can't tell you how grateful I am for all of this and not just this module but the other ones too, but this one it's like when truth is spoken.
...It's like I keep praying for help and healing but I thought it meant like "Take It All Away" heal. But this is the journey. The healing journey."
– Libby Noack
“I know that I can move forward. Because I have the tools that I need and I know now that I can pause and I can rest. And it's all right to do that, because when I get up I'll have that energy again to go forward.
I just want to thank you for your teaching... and supporting all of us.”
– Leeta
"I've gotten so much out of this... I shared how transformative it was for me, and I felt like I'd come home—the ability to be truthful, to really own who I am and what I'm feeling, and not feel judged in the group.
I realized that Dr. Aimie is such a visionary... her staff, their dedication—she's such a role model to me in terms of her inclusivity and her ability to make space for anybody, whether you're a professional or a layperson. You can heal.“
– Shabira Verjee

Guided Somatic & Parts Work Sessions
Mondays at 10:00 am PST
Integration Sessions
Thursdays at 2:00 pm PST
A 55-minute discussion with Licia Sky, co-founder of the Trauma Research Foundation, somatic educator, artist, and bodyworker specializing in trauma healing. Licia trains mental health professionals and works with survivors using mindful movement, theater, writing, and voice to foster embodied healing. An instructor at Cape Cod, Kripalu, and Esalen institutes, she explored how trauma lives in the body and the necessity of self-compassion in healing. She emphasized creating safe, attuned spaces to work with collapse and shutdown states through grounded, embodied awareness, urging practitioners to prioritize their own embodiment and self-care.
A 50-minute discussion featuring Ian Macnaughton MBA, PhD, FEA, SEP, a seasoned teacher and practitioner of trauma resolution, mind-body, and family systems psychotherapy for five decades. As a Bodynamic Analyst and trainer, he has employed Somatic Experiencing since the early 70s and is part of the Levine Legacy faculty with the Ergos Institute of Somatic Education. Dr. Macnaughton provides valuable insights into recognizing and addressing the freeze response, highlighting the subtle indicators present in individuals' nervous systems.
A 40-minute session with Dr. Stephen Porges, Distinguished University Scientist at Indiana University and originator of Polyvagal Theory, which links physiological states to trauma-related behavioral, mental, and health issues. With over 400 peer-reviewed papers and author of Polyvagal Safety, Dr. Porges examined the freeze response in trauma and chronic trauma's physical effects. He discussed how early medical interventions like NICU experiences affect infant nervous systems and shared approaches to treating eating disorders through social engagement and nervous system regulation. Dr. Porges offered practical strategies for applying Polyvagal principles to trauma recovery, emphasizing safety, connection, and holistic healing.
