Biology of Healing Module

The Biology of Healing Module is part of the Biology of Trauma. This is the next stage of the healing journey after the Biology of Letting Go Module and includes a 6-week journey into restoring our natural movement of life so we can live as whole and authentic as possible.

Live Somatic and Parts Work Session with Dr. Aimie

These sessions are approximately 60 minutes long, during which Dr. Aimie will guide you with advanced somatic and parts work.

Live Somatic Sessions with Mentors

These sessions are approximately 30 minutes long, during which a mentor will guide you through your somatic and parts work.

Live Implementation Meetings (Professional Track)

These sessions are approximately 45 minutes where you will discuss and learn ways to implement the course concepts into your professional work. You will need to attend at least one of these sessions to complete the course requirements excluding the orientation session/walk-through.

Live Integration Sessions 

These sessions are 60 minutes long, during which Mentor Kimberly or the masterly level professionals will teach and discuss the application of course materials.

Live Final Oral Presentation (Professional Track)

This session is approximately 60 minutes where you practice integration of the course concepts. You will be paired with a colleague to role-play a client scenario of your choice. This exercise allows you to fully embody your role as a practitioner. Your colleague will present a problem from the case studies provided, and you will respond using the knowledge you've acquired from the module. You will then switch roles, with you taking on the client's role and your colleague acting as the practitioner.You will need to attend one of the two session times to complete the course requirements.

A bit of both! Some will be live and some will be pre-recorded.

Access to the following session is limited:

• Although the study sessions are recorded, the majority of these sessions take in the breakout room which is not recorded. So if you don't attend live, you'll be missing some of the discussion there.

The recordings of most of the live sessions can be accessed through your course platform, and the videos will be available for ongoing access even after the journey ends. However, access to recordings of the following sessions are limited:

• Share Time Sessions and Implementation Meeting recordings may not be provided as the majority of these sessions take place in the breakout rooms. Because zoom does not have the capabilities of recording breakout rooms, we do not provide recordings of these meetings. If you don't attend live, you'll be missing some of the discussion.

Even after the journey ends, you will have ongoing access! You will be able to continue watching all recordings and going through the content.

The 21 Day Journey to Calm Aliveness and the Intro to All Parts of Me are the foundational modules and must be taken before the Biology of Healing Module.

In order to be eligible to participate in The Biology of Trauma modules, you must have taken the foundational modules (21 Day Journey and All Parts of Me). Once you have completed this foundational module you can take any one of the 6 Modules that are a part of The Biology of Trauma which are listed below.  All of the modules and 2023 course dates are listed HERE for your reference. 

• The Biology of Freeze and Overwhelm 
• The Biology of Grief and Gut Health
• The Biology of Attachment and Neurodevelopment
• The Biology of Stress, Rest and Resilience
• The Biology of Letting Go and Detoxing
• The Biology of Healing

When you enroll in a Biology of Trauma, there are two tracks that you can choose from: Take Charge of My Trauma (certificate not included) or the Professional Training Track (certificate included). The Take Charge of My Trauma (TCMT) and Professional Training Track have similar content however, the Professional Training Track will include: 

• weekly quiz, self-evaluation, and homework assignments 
• implementation meeting
• final written client summary
• final oral presentation

Participants of the Professional Training Track will also receive a certificate of completion. Only those that complete the Professional Training Track (year 1 of training which includes all 6 modules) will be eligible to enroll in the Advanced Professional Training (year 2 of training which includes all 6 module topics with a special focus on practical professional application). 

Take Charge of My Trauma Track (Non Certificate) 
Prerequisite course: The 21 Day Journey and All Parts of Me.
Focus: Personal application without certificate
Description: This is a NON-CERTIFICATE course containing all of the same lectures and course material as the Professional Training Track. Participants of this course will NOT complete homework, quizzes, or a final oral exam. They will not receive a certificate of completion. If you would like to earn a certificate of completion and/or be eligible for the Advanced Professional Training (see information below), you will need to enroll in the Professional Training Track courses.

Professional Certificate Training Track (Year 1)
Prerequisite course: The 21 Day Journey and All Parts of Me.
Focus: Personal application with certificate (strongly recommended for professionals).
Description: This is a CERTIFICATE course that will contain all of the same lectures and course material as the Take Charge of My Trauma Track (non-certificate). Those in the Professional Training Track will complete homework, quizzes, and a final oral exam. Participants will also attend an implementation meeting and receive a certificate of completion. Completion of the Professional Training Track will make you eligible to enroll in the Advanced Professional Training Track (see details below).

Advanced Professional Training Track (Year 2)
Prerequisite courses: The 21 Day Journey, All Parts of Me, AND completion of all 6 Biology of Trauma Modules on the Professional Training Track.
Focus: Professional application with certificate
Description: This course has a special focus on professional application and implementation. You will learn how to design treatment plans and/or client-specific recommendations based on the case presentation and your assessment. You will receive support in adapting all of the course information to your particular profession and scope of practice. This is a CERTIFICATE course that is designed for professionals and those that would like to take what they learned in the Professional Training Track and apply it to their profession/practice.

Yes, You can request to switch tracks by  sending us an email to [email protected]. Kindly take note of the following points:

• Should you decide to switch from the Professional/Certificate track to the Take Charge of My Trauma (non-certificate) track after the module commences, a $15 administrative charge will apply. You will also need to do this within the first week of the module.  
• Should you decide to upgrade from the Take Charge of My Trauma (non-certificate) track to the Professional/Certificate track, an additional payment of $145 will be required to cover the price difference.  

The course materials including the video recordings and downloadable content are proprietary information of Trauma Healing Accelerated and should not be duplicated or shared with people outside of the course. 

If you are part of the Professional track or the Advanced Professional track, it is not advised to utilize the assessment forms and materials from the course until you have obtained a sufficient level of proficiency in the Biology of Trauma that is attained after completing all of the professional and advanced professional modules.

The first payment is due on registration. And then the second payment is due one month later. The link for the payment plan is usually found on the checkout page of the course. 

The professional track is a certificate program. It is year one of your Biology of Trauma training. It is intended to be a compliment and an enhancement to the certifications and licensures that you already have as a professional. It's not intended to be a standalone certification program.

After you complete your first year of training and you go through all six modules in the professional track, you have the opportunity to take those same modules at the advanced professional level which is intended to help you dive deep into the application of the Biology of Trauma principles to your practice.

The Advanced Professional program provides you with assessments, templates, and other ready-to-use tools to make applying the Biology of Trauma principles to your practice simple and easy.

This is really important to Dr. Aimie. She provides all of the references that she has used to design her curriculum and trainings at the end of each written chapter.

Dr. Aimie has incorporated everything that you learned from the 21 Day Journey into the Healing Module so that is a very natural next step. The weekly somatic work that we will be doing in the Healing Module is deeper and with a specific focus. It is also integrative which means it includes parts work and advanced somatic work.

Yes, the Professionals Network is optional, but a highly recommended enhancement to your training. It’s a membership where you will experience a forum for support and community as well as monthly networking events, office hours, and a listing in our directory! We encourage the course members to complete the weekly assignments within the deadline as much as possible so you could also receive your certificate of completion on time, however, if you are unable to submit it within the due date, you can notify us by sending an email to [email protected].
