What is the 1 Year Practitioner Certificate Training?
This training changes you first—then transforms how you show up for others.
You can't guide people through what you haven't experienced yourself. This year, you'll walk the full healing path in your own body using the complete Biology of Trauma® framework: somatic work, parts work, and biology—all three integrated in the exact sequence your nervous system needs.
As your biology shifts, so does your presence. Clients sense when someone has done their inner work. They feel safer, trust deeper, and open to change.
What sets you apart isn't just what you know—it's that you've lived it. You can then naturally weave this work into what you already do as an embodied way of being.
What does it mean to become a Biology of Trauma® Professional?
A Biology of Trauma® Professional is trained to integrate all three essential pillars—somatic work, parts work, and biology—to address stored trauma in the body.
You experience all three in your own body first, then naturally bring what you've lived into your work with others.
You'll learn to read nervous system states—not from theory, but by walking through freeze, stress, and shutdown yourself. You'll receive training in neuroscience, epigenetics, attachment theory, and more—all applied holistically through your own direct experience.
Because healing begins with yourself, you walk through every exercise and training first. This makes you well-resourced for those you serve and able to guide them authentically through their own healing.
Geri
"...I feel so much more confident in giving my clients the tools and the information that really help them make powerful changes in a much shorter period of time...."
Michelle
"...I like to tell clients that the nervous system really does run the show. And understanding the importance of our nervous system response and how it's impacted by not just stress, but trauma is the game changer in my own practice...."
Laura
"...Dr Aimie’s opinions, framework bridges that gap specifically addressing the underlying biological components of trauma...."
"... The Biology of trauma has become invaluable, not just in my professional practice, but profoundly impactful in my own healing journey...."
Jennifer
"...We used titration, touch, and it was a powerful moment..."
Sadia
"I’ve been incorporating the parts work, and the first time I did it with a client, the feedback was incredibly positive..."
Emma
"Really have been so touched by this module and really ready to implement so many of the practices—the creating safety, the finding ways to have more interoception in the body..."
Tamika
"...I've just been sharing it as I've been learning it, which has really helped me to solidify it as well. I think it's giving a much clearer picture to my clients—the whole holistic perspective—for them to understand the physical impacts of their trauma, their grief in particular..."
Jane
"...As I am learning something with Dr. Amy, I am teaching it to my groups because it just helps cement it for me, but it is so impactful for them..."
Marquelle
"...Now I can deliver it because I truly understand... I see how it all comes together. It really has blessed my life by filling in the missing pieces..."
Lindsay
"I weave this information into my work… It’s been amazing with people who are absolutely willing..."
Tiffany
"... Connect... Saying it, cognitively knowing it, and teaching it is one thing—embodying it has been a whole new experience...."
How is this Training Structured?
- Courses - Core modules in the exact sequence your nervous system needs. Your body must build safety before it can release what it's holding. Experience this sequence in your own system first—it's how you'll understand what your clients need and why the order matters.
- Community - Ongoing space for connection, practice, and co-regulation. Trauma happens in isolation. Healing happens in connection. As you experience your nervous system learning safety through being witnessed, you'll embody what co-regulation truly means—and be able to offer it authentically to others.
- Coaching - Weekly small-group sessions with Dr. Aimie and faculty focusing on somatic work, parts work, and biology integration. Information alone doesn't create change—in you or your clients. These sessions help you apply the framework to your own patterns in real time. Only by doing your inner work first can you guide others through theirs with integrity and precision.
