In the course, you will learn to:

A: This is a certification that you will be adding to your professional work capacities. This is not a course that gives you a license as a provider nor is it a health or trauma recovery coach credentialing program.

At the completion of each module, you will receive a Certification of Completion indicating you have achieved competency on that specific topic of biology of trauma.

At the completion of all 8 modules of the Certification Course, you will receive a certification as a Biology of Trauma Provider from Trauma Healing Accelerated.

You are still held to the restrictions, responsibilities and privileges of your primary license and board.

A: The Certification Course is for any provider/professional who wants to gain more tools and skills in effectively addressing trauma patterns in their work with others. This includes health providers, mental health providers, health coaches, trauma recovery coaches, physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, occupational or physical therapists, or personal development and life coaches! The requirement really is not the type of license or work, but that you help others to achieve better health and a better life and that you want more knowledge and tools to address their underlying biology of trauma that can keep them stuck or slow down their work with you and their healing journey.

You need to stay within the scope of your practice and we are here to support you in that!

Every professional has their own unique scope of practice!

Some of you will be able to order labs, some of you will not. Some of you will be able to do therapy, others will not.

Part of the benefit of being in a community like this is collaboration. If you have had an important conversation with a client about the biology of trauma that you are seeing and they are interested in getting labs, you will have a network of providers who you can call on to play that role. Others will call on you to fill a specific role that they are not able to fill for their clients and stay within their scope of practice.

No matter what your scope of practice, you will be given the different assessments that will help you and your clients identify the biology that may be holding them back and be able to have a conversation around their next best steps. This is going to be a game-changer for your practice.

People are no longer looking for just a health provider, or just a therapist. They are looking for someone who can help them given the greater context of their life experiences and trauma. With the additional knowledge and skills you are going to have, you can be that level of professional they are looking for and trust.

A: Yes, those people who are not providers but are highly motivated to help themselves and address their biology of trauma are invited to join the providers. We call you those invested to "Take Charge of My Trauma" and you are invited to join.

You do not need a science background to benefit from this course.

A: If having a certification as a Biology of Trauma Provider would bring you value in your work, you would be more effective in your work with others, and your clients would trust you more because of you having this training, you should do this module through the Certification Course pathway. 

A: You are enrolling in the Attachment and Neurodevelopment Module of The Biology of Trauma Certification Course.

You aren’t purchasing or committing to any other modules at this time.

This is a 4-week course that includes Live Lectures with Dr. Aimie (hosted via Zoom) as well as downloadable course materials.

In order to receive a certificate of completion, you will need to complete the required assignments, including Weekly Quizzes, Homework and Exams.

You are just committing to this one Attachment & Neurodevelopment Module for 4 weeks for the Certification Course.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Attachment & Neurodevelopment Module once you complete the course requirements.

A: The estimated time is 4-6 hours per week for the 4 weeks of this course.

This includes the total time commitment between reading, watching the lectures, going through bonus material and attending the live Q&A sessions.

There will be homework due each week. Homework should take approximately 20-30 minutes to be done well.

There are additional meetings and an exam during the 4th week, after completing all the curriculum the 3rd week. The estimated time during this 4th week is also 4-5 hours.

A: Each of the 8 modules stands on its own.

The 21 Day Journey to Calm Aliveness course is the pre-requisite for taking any of the 8 modules of the Biology of Trauma course. 

After you have taken the 21 Day Journey, you can take the modules in any order you like.  

You don't have to take all of them!  You can just take one and there is no commitment to take another one.  

You do what is best for you (and your practice).

A: Each chapter in each module has a written curriculum and an accompanying lecture (along with a download of the slides for that lecture).

A Q&A session is held to go over any questions you have from that chapter.

A: Yes, those who have an NPI are able to purchase CME credit for their involvement in this course. Those Providers are MD's, DO's, NP's and PA's.

A 1-hour lecture and Q&A is 1 AMA CME each. You have the potential to earn 6 CME credits through this course.

We are working on getting continuing education credits for other professionals. If you would like to send us information on how to provide your license's specific continuing education credits, we can start that process.
