Special Guest Speaker: Audra Snyder
Topic: Adoptive Parents on Trauma and Attachment Disorders
Audra Snyder, an adoptive mother will join us to discuss her personal experiences adopting her son from the foster care system when he was 3 1/2 years old, discovering his attachment disorder and the journey that her and her husband David went on to support their son, Austin.
She is going to share how she was able to learn the methods of rewiring his brain to help heal his trauma and how to best support herself, her husband and Austin.
Special Guest Speaker: Dr. Darcia Narvaez
Topic: The Evolved Nest

Darcia Narvaez, is a Professor of Psychology Emerita at the University of Notre Dame. She is the founder of the public and professional educational outreach project The Evolved Nest Initiative whose nonprofit mission is to share her science research into developing appropriate baselines for lifelong human wellness by meeting the biological needs of infants.
This well-being baseline is imperative at this time as the United States ranks 41st out of 41 developed countries in public policies that support families.
Special Guest Speaker: Bette Lamont
Topic: Neurodevelopment Movement and Reorganization
Bette Lamont is a lead Neurodevelopmental Movement Practitioner. Her focus is on restoring the functions of the Central Nervous System's sensory and motor foundations, that provide the platform for the cognitive, creative, social and emotive cortex, with an emphasis on balanced, non-traumatizing parenting. The tools she uses come from long research and deep understanding of the Developmental Sequence, those movements, reflexes and sensory experiences that mature the brain.
"I rarely meet people with whom I'm as much aligned as Bette Lamont,
with whom my work is so automatically aligned." Dr. Gabor Maté
