Your Somatic Guide

Aimie Apigian, MD MS MPH

Dr. Aimie Apigian, MD, created the Biology of Trauma® framework. The reason she guides somatic exercises is because she has experienced and witnessed their power with chronic health issues.

As a physician, she pushed through exhaustion and sickness, until the stress carried her over the line. In 2014 she woke one morning and could not get out of bed. She kept wondering whether that was the rest of her life.

What brought her back was learning nervous system health and regulation through knowledge and skills she had never learned in her medical training. Out of this experience, she created The Biology of Trauma® work. She teaches from the other side of where many of you are standing now.
