I invite you to The Starting Place Retreat
A two-hour virtual experiential somatic workshop for those who want to come out of overwhelm and experience inner safety quickly.
What If It Could Be Different?
Overwhelm is your body’s message that something needs attention now.
We've been trained to just push through. But overwhelm is a red light, a sign you are running on empty and need to refuel.
What you need is a Starting Place to feel safe again
... and that is what we have designed for you.

You see the impact of overwhelm in your health, in your relationships, in your work. Everyone says to think different, to change your mindset, but it isn't enough. You know there is a body and biology component to overwhelm, but don't know what to actually do.
That’s where The Starting Place Retreat comes in.

Two hours: 9:00AM to 11:00AM PDT
This is an action-oriented experiential workshop. Jump in with your first guided somatic exercise and be taught how to create a sense of inner safety in your body.
Through a combination of teaching, guided body-based exercises, art therapy and mind-body dialogue, you will understand your body and its messages on a deeper level.
Trained somatic coaches will teach you how to recognize how stress and overwhelm has impacted your body and guide you through 2 additional somatic exercises to you can use in the moment to create inner safety no matter where you are.
Bonus!!!
Journal
A journal for you to write and draw as you follow along during the retreat.
A safe place to start.
One of the hard lessons I had to learn when it comes to mind-body dialogue is that so often we do too much too fast. We jump in too fast. Here we take things in bite-sized pieces. We are going to start slow. Otherwise, we actually put our system into the trauma response that we're trying to rewire.
We are so looking forward to guiding you through these exercises and seeing the changes that happen in the moment. You will see a whole new potential for yourself moving forward.
Somatic
Interventions
"Somatic" means it is body-based. Often, our bodies are not actually feeling safe. I will teach you a few of the somatic exercises I have learned over the years in all my different trainings. These are so powerful in helping your body know it is safe, so you can be fully present.
Mind-Body Dialogue
I have never seen someone fully heal without incorporating parts work. If you are familiar with Internal Family Systems, we will be blending this with somatic work in a unique way.
Art Therapy & Journaling
Art therapy powerfully brings what is happening in our body at a subconscious level to our conscious level of awareness. That way, we can work with it.
We will also be journaling so you can write down your insights and the new things you are learning.
