BONUS CONTENT

A 40-minute session featuring Dr. Stephen Porges, Distinguished University Scientist at Indiana University and the originator of the groundbreaking Polyvagal Theory, which emphasizes the role of physiological states in behavioral, mental, and health problems related to trauma. Dr. Porges, who has published over 400 peer-reviewed papers and authored influential works such as Polyvagal Safety, explored the freeze response as a critical aspect of the body’s reaction to trauma and highlighted the negative physical effects of chronic trauma. He discussed the impact of early medical interventions, such as NICU experiences, on an infant’s Polyvagal System and shared insights on treating eating disorders through fostering social engagement and nervous system regulation. With a focus on practical applications, Dr. Porges provided strategies for integrating Polyvagal principles into trauma recovery, emphasizing the importance of safety, connection, and holistic healing.

A 1-hour session featuring David Feinstein, PhD, a clinical psychologist and pioneer in energy psychology, recognized with nine national awards for his work on consciousness and healing, including the Marquis Who’s Who “Lifetime Achievement Award.” Dr. Feinstein, who has served on the faculties of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Antioch College, discussed his innovative approach to addiction recovery through energy psychology, specifically using tapping on acupuncture points to address nervous system dysregulation. He outlined seven stages of addiction recovery, demonstrating how tapping can help reduce cravings, manage emotional triggers, and support each recovery stage, from contemplation to maintenance. Emphasizing practitioner attunement and the importance of addressing unresolved emotions safely, he advocated a holistic approach integrating self-compassion, nervous system regulation, and adaptive tools for sustainable transformation.

A 55-minute discussion with Licia Sky, co-founder of the Trauma Research Foundation, a somatic educator, artist, singer-songwriter, and bodyworker dedicated to trauma healing. With expertise in mindful movement, theater exercises, writing, and voice, Licia works with trauma survivors and trains mental health professionals to foster attunement and healing through embodiment. As a regular instructor at renowned institutes like Cape Cod, Kripalu, and Esalen, she shared insights on how trauma is stored in the body and the importance of nurturing a compassionate relationship with oneself. Emphasizing the creation of safe, attuned spaces for exploring collapse and shutdown states, Licia highlighted the power of embodied awareness and grounding in the healing journey. She concluded with reflections on her integrative approach and urged practitioners to prioritize their own embodiment and self-compassion in their work.

A one-hour conversation featuring Dr. Les Aria and Dr. David Hanscom explores the dorsal vagal response and its connection to chronic pain. The discussion includes insights into their experiences and the relevance of this response to various syndromes and symptoms. Dr. Les Aria, a pain psychologist with 19 years of practice, is a co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Menda Health, a digital pain recovery platform. Dr. David Hanscom, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon for over 32 years, specializes in correcting complex spinal deformities and has extensive experience with patients who have undergone multiple prior spine surgeries.

A 50-minute discussion featuring Ian MacNaughton MBA, PhD, FEA, SEP, a seasoned teacher and practitioner of trauma resolution, mind-body, and family systems psychotherapy for five decades. As a Bodynamic Analyst and trainer, he has employed Somatic Experiencing since the early 70s and is part of the Levine Legacy faculty with the Ergos Institute of Somatic Education. Dr. MacNaughton provides valuable insights into recognizing and addressing the freeze response, highlighting the subtle indicators present in individuals' nervous systems.

Details on NAD+, its crucial role within cells, and its varied functions across different organs highlight its importance in energy production, DNA repair, and metabolic regulation. NAD+ supports mitochondrial function, helping cells generate ATP for energy-intensive processes, and plays a vital role in maintaining brain health, reducing oxidative stress, and promoting neuronal repair. It is also involved in regulating mood, combating inflammation, and supporting recovery from stress and trauma. Its applications span improving energy levels, cellular repair, and overall resilience, particularly in individuals recovering from trauma or chronic stress.

Experiences from Professionals
It was a huge change for me; I've been seeing so many practitioners and therapists and physical therapists and bodyworkers, and I've always been all over the place. With Dr. Aimie's talk today... I felt like I'm home...
- Roberta Holstein
I am a GP psychotherapist physician practicing psychotherapy, top down and medium empathic attunement.
...I noticed myself being able to be present, much more present and open-hearted, and feel comfortable with my most severely attachment-injured patients.
- Anastasia Sky
What's awesome about this class is that she (Dr. Aimie) gave you such a cutting edge information that you don't learn it from medical school and nursing school. This is so interesting, and you can apply this knowledge to treat the patient right away.
Wow. This is a game changer for me and for my patients.
- Sutida Majarone
What I was excited about was the way that Dr. Aimie presents material... it's not just theory, it's mind, it's body, it's heart, very gentle, and titrated really well, but also goes really deep.
- Christina Wiseman
It was just so easily integrated, I didn't have to try hard to make sure I was getting that material in. And I think that really speaks to how you've taught it to us as well.
For me it felt like I could just be more confident in being myself. I didn't have to work hard at the material.
- Brandi Mackenzie
"Unexpectedly, the concept of soothing the unreachable is incredibly forgiving and rewarding, allowing us to move forward without gaps or negative feelings."
– Nechoma
